Mag-Probe Lithium Battery Sealed Inside for Reliability
This post explains the reason why the Bartol Mag-Probe has a Lithium Battery sealed and soldered inside of a self contained protective shell. The decision was made when the Mag-Probe was invented to isolate the components by sealing them inside of a shell to protect it from outside contamination and weather conditions.
All mag testers on the market today that use a replaceable battery are susceptible to having the contacts corrode in adverse weather conditions. These replaceable battery magnetic testers are generally inconsistent and can be unreliable for a couple of reasons.
If you have ever used an aging flashlight with replaceable batteries you might remember hitting the flashlight against something to get the light to work again. This will not happen when using a Bartol Mag-Probe because it is manufactured as a completely self contained sealed unit. In the case of the replaceable battery mag-testers the worse the environmental conditions are the higher the risk of failure . It doesn’t make sense to take a chance on using a product that by construction alone is doomed to fail.
Bartol Mag-Probe is Intrinsically Safe to Use in the Gas & Oil Industry
Nickel Cadmium and Alkaline batteries require a special disposal procedure in Europe while Lithium Batteries used in the Mag-Probe Do Not require a special disposal procedure in Europe.
When engineers or technicians use a Bartol Mag-Probe with a long life Lithium battery sealed inside they know they can rely on the tester to make an accurate and reliable test every time.
The Bartol Mag-Probe can be used in some of the most extreme hot and cold climates on earth. You know it is intrinsically safe because it can be used underwater (as low as 40+ feet below the surface) with no adverse effects. It can be dipped in isopropyl alcohol in a cold sterilization process so it can be used in clean rooms for semi-conductor manufacturing.
The applications and environments the Mag-Probe can be used in is endless.
Clearly the Mag-Probe is a technicians premium choice when separating electrical problems from mechanical ones when testing solenoid valves and relays.
Lastly, the Mag-Probe can check some of the smallest relays and solenoid valves down to 1 gauss, (with the ring magnet attached) and the largest ones with over lapping magnetic fields by using the white protective (desensitizing) shield.
Clearly the Bartol Mag-Probe is the most Reliable Versatile Magnetic Field Tester on the market today. The long life lithium battery sealed inside is an added value that allows the Mag-Probe to be used world wide with no disposal issues.
When the light comes on you instantly know you have voltage, current and continuity in the coil.
