TWO AMAZING PILOTS LANDING AMAZING AIRCRAFT
ON A WING AND A PRAYER
In the following videos you will see two amazing pilots landing amazing aircraft. The first video was taken 26 years ago in Israel. I have no doubt you’ll find the expert abilities of these pilots and the manufacturing of the aircraft to be superb. The planes and the pilots defied the laws of physics. How often do you see a fighter aircraft land safely with only one wing. Typically an F-15 will land at right around 130 knots, the pilot in this video lands his Israelis F-15 at approximately 250 knots with only one wing. What’s that tell you about an American made F-15? Simply Amazing! Don’t forget the gifted Israeli pilot. When he turned around to shake the navigators hand he saw the wing was gone. Try to imagine what he was thinking.
The following video shows the value of the A-10’s triple redundancy when an obsessed pilot decides to make one more pass. One more for the Gipper. Triple redundancy means if the main hydraulic system goes down it is backed up by another. If the secondary system fails the pilot can turn to manual reversion where the A-10’s cable and pulley system kicks in. This reversion system gives the pilot the ability to nurse his plane home. Can’t beat the indestructible A-10.
