Bartol Mag-Probe Magnetic Field Detector
Non-Contact Solenoid Valve and Relay Tester
The Bartol Mag-Probe is a Non-Contact Solenoid Valve and Relay Tester that has the ability to conduct a test without making a direct connection. It is a magnetic field detector that has virtually no limitations when conducting tests on solenoid valves and relays. Magnetic fields are constant and cannot be hidden. The Mag-Probe can drastically reduce downtime. It does this by lowering the time it takes to isolate mechanical from electrical problems when testing solenoid valves and relays. The Mag-Probe is simple, it’s portable, and easy to use. It can make a test while the equipment is operational. Also will evaluate intermittent problems. Problems that can only be diagnosed when the equipment is operating. Remember, to observe safety when making operational tests.

The Bartol Mag-Probe Magnetic Field Detector
WHEN YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO
Separate Mechanical From Electrical Problems NOW!
When the Mag-Probe light turns on, the magnetic field generated by the coil has been detected. When this happens it proves the solenoid valve or relay is energized. Detecting the presence of a magnetic field in an electrically operated coil indicates you have voltage, current and continuity in the coil. Proving the problem in the solenoid valve or relay is not electrical.
If the Mag-Probe light does not turn on, it proves that the electrical portion of the solenoid valve or relay is defective. The next step is to use a voltmeter to test the voltage source. If you read a voltage from the source it indicates the solenoid valve or relay is defective. It should be replaced because the problem is mechanical, or there is no flow to the valve.
The Bartol Mag-Probe is constructed of non-conductive materials. It is completely sealed for use in corrosive environments. The Mag-Probe magnetic field detector can be utilized in explosive areas where sparks would be a concern. It has been tested in temperatures ranging from 160 degrees farenheight down to forty degrees below zero. The Mag-Probe’s Reliability is excellent with a shelf life of ten years. By using a lithium battery it requires no regulated disposal procedures. It can also sense magnetic fields as low as 3 gauss without using the ring magnet. It will go as low as 1 gauss with ring magnet is attached. The Mag-Probe is a high sensitivity magnetic field detector. It should be stored in an areas away from anything that produces a magnetic field. We have included a white shield that covers the tip of the tester that will desensitize the Mag-Probe to avoid detecting overlapping magnetic fields.
